Fanfiction Fate the winx saga : Tecna's arrival chapter 2
Here is chapter two of my fanfiction about my mix of Winx Club and Fate the Winx saga. I am also posting this story on my AO3 account, Wattpad account and on Tumblr.

“So
let me get this clear,” Tecna said as she motioned for the group to be quiet.
Which took quite a while, considering that there were six of them which made
the total count of their suites seven fairies.
“Your
dad works here as a teacher,” she said as she pointed at Terra.
“He
is our Botany teacher.”
“Of
course. Who could have figured out that an earth fairies father would teach
Botany,” Tecna said with a grimace on her face before pointing to Flora. “And
the two of you are cousins?”
“Yes,”
Flora said with a welcoming smile.
“And
you are dating Terra’s brother?” she asked as she looked towards Musa who nodded
and resisted the urge to put her headphones on again.
“You
are dating Stella’s ex and come from earth?”
“Well,
he is my boyfriend,” Bloom said with an awkward smile as she looked at Stella.
“And
he is still Stella’s ex,” Tecna said. As she pointed out the fact.
“I
told you I liked her,” Stella laughed as the rest of the winx didn’t know where
to look. They had all obviously chosen a side in this matter and it wasn’t
Stella’s. Maybe it was time to even the odds a little.
Tecna
looked at the fairies in front of her who were all busy talking about some annoying
guy named grey as she thought of some of her mother’s words before she left. ‘Sometimes
the fastest way to create a bond is to share a secret.’ She looked at them
again and sighed. It was too soon to reveal Digit. Too soon to reveal her
Charmix. Especially since they were not strong enough to guard off their minds
for Rosalind or any other mind fairy for that matter. Even Musa, if she wanted to,
could probe their minds. Quite a pathetic fact for second year students, she
thought as she laughed to herself and leaned back into the comfortable sofa.
If
she was to ever trust them to help her, they would need to become stronger. Both
their minds and their magic.
“When
do classes start?” Tecna asked as she tapped Stella’s arm.
“Not
until tomorrow. Besides tonight is a rave. To kickstart the first day of school,”
Terra said. “I usually don’t go to that sort of thing but I was thinking that
maybe this year it could be nice to go, with all of us as a group.”
“Yes,
that’s a wonderful idea,” Flora said as she tried to mask Aisha’s stressed-out
face from the thought of losing precious study time.
“That’s
settled then,” Stella said as she turned her head towards Tecna. “You are coming
with us.”
Tecna
nodded and smiled. If there was no secret she was ready to share with them,
then partying was the way to bond with them.
The
rest of the day went quickly. Stella and Aisha showed her around Alfea whilst
Bloom was off to her private studies with Rosalind. Musa was with Sam whilst
Flora and Terra were busy in the greenhouse. Healing students, because apparently,
Rosalind’s new regime had become quite bloody. Even Terra’s father looked like
a shell of himself, according to Flora.
“There
you are,” a fairy named Beatrix said as she extended her hand towards Tecna. “I
have been looking for you the entire day. I was supposed to give you a grand
tour of Alfea.”
“We
already gave it to her,” Aisha said as she crossed her arms in front of her
chest.
“A
pity. Have you shown her all the secrets Alfea has to offer or did you only
show her the classrooms?” Beatrix asked as she looked at Aisha with a challenging
look.
“of
cou-“Aisha started but the words were lost in her mouth when a handsome
specialist passed the group of fairies, and by the way Aisha angrily stared at
him, it must have meant that this was grey. Instead of returning her angry look
he laughed. Quite innocently at her and waved.
“You
can give me the schedule anytime,” he said to Aisha before disappearing behind
a corridor again.
“So
about that tour,” Beatrix said as she pulled Tecna towards her, “let’s do that
now shall we?”
“Yes,
that sounds good,” Tecna said as she smiled at Aisha and Stella to signal their
goodbye’s before nearly being dragged away by Beatrix.
“So
I take it you have been informed of me?” Beatrix asked as she slowed down and
let go of Tecna’s hand. ”Given the company you keep.”
“I
wouldn’t know. I’ve known them for less than a day. But anyway, I can make up
my own mind. You said you could show me all the secrets Alfea had to offer and i’d
like that tour.”
A
hopefull smile that was masked with arrogance appeared on Beatrix’s face as she
pushed on a certain stone and a secret passageway opened up behind her.
“Follow
me,” she said as she pulled a clipboard close to her chest.
The
tour entailed several secret passageways. And it appeared that several led to
the library, the dinning hall, the east tower, the training grounds and one
even led to the attic.
“So
you are a second year as well?”
“Yes,
but I was though before I came here. Sort of like, homeschooled,” Beatrix said
as she forced a smile on her face.
“I
was too. Back in Zenith. This is the first real school that I’m allowed to
attend.”
Beatrix
stopped for a moment and looked Tecna in the eyes. “So did I. I’m an air fairy.
What is your element?”
“We
don’t have caste systems when it comes to magic like you have. Well. At least
not until the fairy has graduated.
“Then
how do you separate what kind of powers everyone has?” Beatrix asked with a
surprised look on her face.
“Is
there a need to put a fairy in a certain shelve when later on, they learn how to
use all kinds of magic anyway? And what if a fairy who was born with an affinity
to fire later on learns that light magic comes more natural to her? Do we still
call her a fire fairy or is she a fairy of light?” Tecna said as she studied
Beatrix’s expressions. They ranged from confusion, to understanding of what
Tecna had just said and to mockery.
“I
heard that when a fairy graduates in Zenith they can be called any kind of
fairy. A fairy of weather, a fairy of lakes, a fairy of technology, a fairy of
music. Why is that?”
“It
depends on the fairy and the kind of magic that she wields.”
“How
strange. Such a small city-state and yet so vastly different from Solaria and
Eraklyon,” a deep voice from behind them said.
Startled,
they raised their hands with a sphere full of magic towards the stranger behind
them. Bea’s was full of electricity and darkness, whilst Tecna’s was full of
green and purple lights, with coding numbers floating inside the sphere.
“Come
out!” Bea said as she made her sphere bigger until Andreas of Eraklyon stepped
out of the shadow.
“Well
done, both of you. Good reflexes, better than those of some of my specialists,”
Andreas said with an inkling of proud in his eyes.
They
both lowered their hands and let the magic dissolve. “Dad!” Bea said.
“Now
what are you doing in these hallways?” Andreas asked with a stern look on his
face.
“I
was showing Tecna the way to the library,” Bea said with a sweet smile.
“And
that had to go though here?” he asked.
“I
asked her to show me some cool things Alfea had to offer,” Tecna said quickly. She
shrugged her shoulders and smiled like Bea. “I wanted to see what kind of
school I left Zenith for.”
“Very
well, but don’t come here again without an escort. Who knows what may linger
here when I am not here to protect you.”
“Understood,”
Tecna said as she nodded, “and to come back to your comment. Yes, it’s quite
remarkable how different Zenith is from its surrounding neighbors. Despite how
small it may seem, it has a lot more to offer than you think.”
“I
can imagine,” Andreas said as he escorted them back out of the secret tunnel to
the library.
“There
is a party in an hour,” Bea said as she turned to Tecna, “Perhaps we will see
each other there. Come and find me if those suitemates bore you out of your mind.”
“I
will.’ And with those words, Tecna turned around to go back to her suite to
change.
The
entire suite was filled with clothes and loud chatter about who was going to
wear what.
Tecna
initially thought that she had enough time to change and look at her messages on
her mini laptop again before leaving to the party, but with the indecisiveness
of her suitemates and the continuous need for an opinion on their outfit, they
were almost half an hour late before they eventually entered the old war room
that laid underneath Alfea.
The
music was blasting from the speakers. The room had been turned from a dusty old
room to a space where fairies and specialist alike, acted like it was the end
of the school year instead of the beginning.
It
didn’t take long for Stella to pull Tecna on to the dance floor and as she was
dancing she looked around the dark room until she finally saw Musa come alive.
She
saw Bloom and Sky dance alone in the corner and quickly saw how hurt Stella
felt.
“Let’s
go!” Tecna said as she pulled Stella away from the dance floor.
“What
are we going to do?”
“Anything!”
Tecna yelled out as she found who she was looking for. Beatrix was dancing on
the edge of the crowd, surrounded by the specialists Riven and Dane who seemed
all to eager to hang onto her lips.
“Tecna,
you found me!” Beatrix yelled out as she pushed Dane away from her and embraced
Tecna. She looked at Stella an lifted and eyebrow. “I see that you brought the
princess with you.”
“Well
yes, the princess needed some air,” Stella said sourly as she glanced at Bloom
and Sky again.
“There
is plenty of air someplace else,” Riven said as he pulled Beatrix closer to him.
“Yes,
it seems that this place has been polluted by stupid anyway,” Stella said as
she turned to Tecna who until now had stayed quiet.
Just
as she wanted to say something, her watch pinged and a notification appeared on
the screen.
She
read the message and relief filled her core. She finally had an excuse to leave.
“I’m
sorry, Stella, Bea, I have to go. But please be nice to each other!” she said
as she gestured towards her watch.
“Where
are you going?” Stella asked with a high pitched voice.
“I need to go and meet the other student from Zenith, he just arrived,” Tecna yelled out as she escaped the crowded war room and ran up the stairs to find her future ally.
