Fate the winx saga : Tecna's arrival chapter 3
Here is chapter 3 of my fanfiction about Tecna.
It felt
like she was flying up the stairs and yet she knew it wasn’t true. She couldn’t
just expose herself like that yet. With every step she took she felt a little
more free. Who could have known that the students party till they drop on the
first day of school, she wondered. Maybe that’s why they said that the first
week is not that important when it comes to classes. The teachers just know
that they will show up as zombies anyway.
She shook
her head and followed the instructions on her watch. Maybe that was true in
Farahs time as headmistress but with Rosalind the bloodshed had already started
on day one for the specialists.
She turned
a corridor and ran towards the courtyard where several picknick tables were placed.
She looked at
every table when she finally saw him. There he was, a boy with bright red hair
that it almost looked orange. His big glasses suited his face well and the shy
smile underneath them made Tecna feel as if she could melt. Not just because he
was the cutest guy in this entire school that she had seen, but because of the laptop
that he had in front of him.
Tecna
couldn’t even call it an ordinary laptop. It was a high driven computer with
parts that were manufactured by the fairy Tillia herself, Zenith’s greatest
genius that had ever come forth from it and the extra screen that hung on the
back of the laptops screen was just exquisite on its own.
How could he
have something high tech as this? She wondered as she approached him.
She put on
the glasses to look up his information when he interrupted her.
“You Don’t
need to use those. If you want to know something I will tell you, princes,” the
guy said as he gave her a shy smile. He stood up and bowed before her.
“Don’t call
me that,” she said sternly as urged him to sit down again before she went to
sit beside him.
“And yet
that is what you are. As chancellor Electronio’s daughter, that is your title
until you take up the role yourself. You can call me Timmy,’ he said with a
smile that made Tecna’s chest flutter and yet she had a role to fulfill.
“Despite
being homeschooled, because of my role, I still knew most of Zenith’s best
students. How come I don’t know you?” she asked as she squeezed her eyes a
little.
“I graduated
a year ago with honors.”
“And now
you are forced to become a third year again?” she asked with a puzzled look.
“Although it is a smart move to ensure that our missions are successful.”
Timmy shook
his head. “That mission is not my concern.”
“Than what
is?” Tecna asked.
“You are.”
She looked
at him and felt like a fool for having to take so long before realizing what he
had said. “You are sent here as my babysitter?” Tecna yelled out as she stood
up from the bench.
“I prefer
the word bodyguard or just guard,” Timmy said as he gestured for her to calm
down. A move that worked in the opposite direction as Tecna only got louder
with each word.
“There is
not difference between a babysitter and a bodyguard. My parents just gave you a
different title for the same job!”
“Not so
loud, please. Anyone might hear,” he said as he looked to the empty benches
nearby. Afraid that someone might be eavesdropping on them.
“Oh leave
it, I already cast a spell. No one can hear us, nor those nosy little mind
fairies,” Tecna said with a sour look before she turned around to walk back to
the suite.
The next
morning, Tecna found herself the only one of her friends who hadn’t missed breakfast.
She looked around the dining hall and saw that only a total of twelve students
had managed to get up as well.
“Enjoy,” an
exciting voice said as the handsome specialist who had greeted Aisha the day
before went to sit across from Tecna. He had just returned from a swim and was
nearly starving as he started devouring his breakfast.
“I don’t
know Aisha yet,” Tecna said bluntly.
Grey
stopped halfway in his bite as he looked up to her. “What?”
“That is
what I assume you came here to do. To ask more about Aisha?” Tecna said as she
continued eating her croissant.
“I- no I-
maybe-“ Grey stumbled as his cheeks started turning pink.
“And that
is why I said that I don’t know her yet. I can’t tell you about her. you would
do yourself a favor to go and ask Musa or Terra or anyone else who has known
her longer than a day and a quarter.”
He lowered
his fork and looked at Tecna with a dazzled look. Whatever he was expecting, it
sure wasn’t the answer he was given.
“Direct,
bold and waists no time. I will give the memo to Timmy.”
“What?”
Tecna said as she put her fork down as well.
“That is
what you want no?” grey asked with a grin on his face as he continued eating.
“Of course
not. Why would you assume that?”
“Hurts
doesn’t it,” Grey said as he took a sip from his water. “That’s what it feels
like when you assume things about someone else.”
She lowered
her shoulders and sighed. He was right.
“I’m
sorry.”
“It’s
fine.”
“How do you
know Timmy, he arrived last night,” Tecna asked as she saw that a couple more
students strolled into the dinning hall before going straight for the coffee.
“He is my roommate,
and I saw the two of you in the courtyard. I may not have heard what the two of
you were saying but it sure didn’t look innocent to me.” Grey said with a
chuckle.
“Who else
saw us?” Tecna asked with a sharp tone in her voice.
“I’m pretty
sure Riven and Dane saw it too when they went out for a smoke. Which means that
the entire school will know by the end of the day.” He put his fingers in the
air and made air quotes before continuing. “Given Dane’s big mouth, according
to Sam at least.”
“That’s
just great.”
