Fate the winx saga : Tecna's arrival chapter 5
Here is the fifth chapter to my fanfiction about Fate the winx saga
The ringing
felt like an eternity. With every loading screen that kept appearing and
disappearing on the screen, they could feel their hearts fasten. It was no ordinary
thing, facetiming Eraklyon’s crown princess to tell her that her husband was
still alive. Let alone the fact that everyone at school had kept it away from
her for weeks.
From the
corner of her eye, Tecna could see Stella’s jaws tighten when the crown
princess finally appeared on the screen.
A beautiful
woman with black locks of hair and dark brown eyes. She was Sky’s mother, you
could see, despite the fact that he had not inherited his mothers hair or eye
color. A warm smile appeared on Samara’s face when she saw them.
“Stella,
who is your friend?” she asked as Tecna could feel Stella’s legs tremble.
“Auntie,
I-“ Stella started to say but she stopped midsentence and looked at Tecna for
help.
She quickly
shrugged her shoulders in surprise. How was she supposed to know how to bring
news like this, she wondered. She looked back at the screen and was about to
excuse herself from the call when she saw a little pair of wings and a blue
little boot appear in the corner of her screen.
Digit not
now, she thought as she pulled the laptop closer to them and shook it a little.
They could hear a little grunt coming from the laptop but to Tecna’s luck,
Stella hadn’t noticed a thing because of the stress. But even the stress
wouldn’t stop Stella from noticing a pixie that appeared in front of her very
eyes.
“Your highness,
I am Tecna from Zenith and Stella and I, well, we wanted to let you know of
some news that will affect you.”
“Affect
me?” she asked with a worried look she turned to a guard that stood diagonally
behind her. He was only half visible through the screen and yet Tecna couldn’t help
but notice the muscles he had and the clean shaven jaw that made the picture
complete. Even Stella wasn’t immune to it and they tapped each other on the
elbow as they made eye contact.
“It’s about
your late husband. Andreas,” Stella said and Tecna could see the light in
Samara’s eyes light up as she turned back to the screen.
“What about
him?”
“He is
alive. He has been in hiding for sixteen years on orders of Rosalind and when
he was in hiding she ordered him to raise an orphaned fairy, named Beatrix. He
is back here, teaching the specialists. He’s been back for a couple of weeks
but he was ordered not to reach out to you and we thought that you should
know.” Stella started rambling as Samara’s face fell from shock.
“What did
you say?”
“And Sky
didn’t want to tell you to break your heart but-“
“He’s
alive?” Samara said softly and Stella’s rambling stopped when Tecna tapped her
arm again.
“Yes, your
highness,” Tecna said.
“I… I… need
to come over to you,” Samara said as she stood up and sat back down again. “I…
I need to go there now.”
“That’s not
everything!” Tecna yelled out quickly. She didn’t want to lose the momentum and
quickly continued. “Saul Silva was arrested for the attempted murder of Andreas
and queen Luna is going to transfer him soon.”
“That…
that’s not-“
“It is
possible, auntie and it is true.”
“Then why
did your mother not inform me of anything?” Samara asked as she looked away,
trying to hide the hurt in her eyes.
“I need to
speak with my daughter first before I do anything rash,” Samara said as she got
up again and this time the girls could hear several footsteps behind the
camera. “Thank you both. For telling me.”
The call
ended Tecna and Stella were left with relief, but also with the stress of what
was to come. The backlash they would get from this.
“We did the
right thing,” Tecna said as she quickly closed the laptop. “Does Sky have a
sister?”
“A long
story.”
“And it’s
still lunch time.”
“You do
like spitting facts don’t you?” Stella said with a smile.
“Everyone
in Zenith does,” Tecna said as she smiled back. “So. sister?”
“By blood.
No. Do you remember when I told you that my mom and godmother became like best
friends here at Alfea?”
“Of course
I remember.”
“Well, they
used to be with the three of them,” Stella said as she looked over the green
fields and the nearly empty picknick tables next to theirs. “My mom, Auntie
Samara and princess Marion of Domino. But because of the Dominion wars Marion
and her husband Oritel died-“
“And they
left a daughter didn’t they?” Tecna guessed as she looked at Stella’s face.
“They
actually left two. Princess Daphne and a baby girl died. Auntie Samara was her
godmother and took Daphne in whilst she became Domino’s regent until Daphne is
ready.”
“The crown
princess of Eraklyon is regent for Domino?” Tecna asked as she raised her eyebrows.
She knew most of this information except for the names involved but if she
didn’t ask, it would be too obvious about Zeniths eyes and ears. So she put up
her most surprised look and felt a stab of guilt having to lie to her friend.
Her friend?
Had they
become friends that quickly, she wondered as she looked at Stella’s smile. it
usually wasn’t this easy for Tecna to make a friend with such ease. It felt
good.
“So,
because of the civil war, there were so many nobles who would try to get a hold
of Daphne just to get to the throne. It’s just easier this way.”
“What do
you think is going to happen now?” Tecna asked as she looked at her watch. Five
unread messages from Beatrix, asking her to meet up.
“I don’t
know. She is coming in a couple of weeks for the Alumni event Rosalind is
hosting, but who knows. Maybe she will a come a little sooner now that she
knows the truth.”
“About
Saul…” Stella started but she trailed of when she saw Bloom and Aesha waving to
her. “I’m sorry I have to go. They need my help with something.”
“Yeah sure,
I was meeting with a friend anyway,” Tecna said as she followed Stella’s gaze
and saw the seriousness in their faces.
“See you
later,” Stella said with a smile as she ran towards Bloom and Aesha.
“See you
later,” Tecna replied as she shot a quick text to Beatrix to meet up.
