fanfiction Fate the winx saga : Tecna's arrival chapter 1

So here is the first chapter of my fanfiction about the netflix show Fate the winx Saga. In this fanfiction I am combining elements from both the show Fate the winx saga and the cartoon Winx club, the show that many years ago captured my heart when I was a child. This story is set after the first season of Fate the winx saga and at the beginning of the second. In this story Tecna arrives at Alfea as a second year exchange student from the city-state Zenith that is ruled by her father. But studying and making friends is the least of her worries because she is sent to alfea with a mission or two. First, discover how Rosalind has come back to life and second find a way to bring the transformation back to the kingdoms of Solaria, Eraklyon and Domino. It is scary, entering a place where you know no one at all but with the help of Timmy, the newly graduated specialist that is also sent to Alfea to pose as a third year student to ensure Tecna's safety, it sure promises to be an interesting year for everyone involved.

As for the disclaimer part that I would like to add before I begin. This story is a work of fiction that I wrote with characters and a setting that I obviously do not own. (If I did you would be seeing my stories on TV and not here). Neither do I own the pictures that I used to make the cover on Canva. They are, like the characters, borrowed since this is just a manifestation of my love for the series and not an attempt to earn of it. The only thing I own in this story are my Original characters. With that said I hope you enjoy reading it. P.S : Just so you know, English is not my first language, so I apologize if I there are any mistakes in my story.

Alfea. School for the best of the best. Filled with top students hailing from every corner of Solaria, Eraklyon and Linphea. It was the school for the best and yet no student of the city-state of Zenith had ever been accepted.

No wonder, Tecna thought as she saw the building from afar. They must truly loath technology if they preferred to keep this outdated building instead of the high-tech east wing Tecna’s father offered to build in exchange for three admissions. But alas, they preferred to keep one style. Old and forgotten. Just like their old headmistress who used to be dead but had miraculously risen from the dead.

A bad feeling grew in Tecna’s stomach. The feeling was almost as bad as that one time when she accidentally used a faulty computer chip on her laptop.

She straightened her back and accelerated her purple windrider until she could feel the wind blow past the small antennas on her helmet as she entered through the Alfea gate and saw that the school grounds were filled to the brim with fairies and specialists, all of whom had several suitcases with them. a disappointing feeling grew in Tecna’s stomach as she looked at them.

Where was the magic or the technology? Tecna wondered as she snapped her fingers and the round discs carrying her luggage flew right behind her.

The fairies and specialists all turned to look at her. Their mouths fell open as they stared at her.

Had they never seen a windrider before? She wondered as she snapped her fingers again and the windrider locked and went to park itself in a free space next to the big entrance and the eyes of all of the people gathered there grew even wider as they looked on.

A satisfied smile formed on Tecna’s face as her luggage followed closely until one of the teachers came up to her and greeted her. well, asking for her name and then ordering her to follow him counted as a greeting. The teacher didn’t introduce himself, but Tecna knew who he was. His dark blond hair that stood up straight. His beard that matched his hair and the pride, or was it arrogance, that he carried himself with. Andreas of Eraklyon. There was no doubt about it. Saul Silva was still in prison and Ben Harvey sure as hell didn’t have the muscles that this man packed. Not only that, but everyone knew his face, even in such a secluded city state as Zenith. He was former royalty. The kind of royalty that married into the family but royalty none the less. Crown princess Samara’s husband, who, like his master, turned out not to be so dead after all.

“You will be meeting Rosalind first,” he said as he made a way through the crowd of students. It wasn’t hard for him, every student made way for him. The only one that didn’t was a tall blond guy with spikes in his hair, just like Andreas, albeit younger but the look in their eyes was the same. They both looked like they wanted to fight each other.

Drama, Tecna’s mother had warned her before she left. This school was full of it. Rosalind and Andreas were just a few examples.

“Out of my way, Sky,” Andreas said with a gruff voice as he looked at him with a tilted head.

“I need to talk with you.”

“And I need to bring her to Rosalind,” Andreas said as his eyes scanned the crowd of students who were all too busy pretending to be busy talking with each other.

“Who is she? Another one of your adopted daughters?” Sky asked and Tecna could see the muscles in his neck tense up as he had asked the question.

“Move out of the way, Sky. I will talk to you later,” Andreas said as he tilted his head to the side. His body language was relaxed. The only thing that betrayed his annoyance was the look on his face at the thought of delaying Rosalind’s orders.

“Why can’t we do this now?” Sky asked as he took a step forward.

“Rosalind’s orders can’t wait,” Andreas said as he pushed past Sky and kept on walking.

“I am not his daughter, but I’m guessing that the two of you don’t have a good relationship,” Tecna said as she looked at the hurt specialist.

“No shit, sherlock,” Sky said abruptly as he turned away from Tecna and walked away, with a redheaded fairy following in his steps and realization hit her. No wonder why Zenith kept such a distance from the other realms. They were quite touchy when it came to the truth.

“Please don’t take it personally. There is a lot of backstory to all of that,” a soft voice said. Soft but decisive as the blonde fairy checked the way her hair laid in her hand mirror.

“Why should I feel offended? Combine a stern and absent father with a teenage boy that looked up to his dead hero dad, only to be disappointed by the father he truly was. Classic Daddy issues,” Tecna said as she realized who she was talking to.

Crown princess Stella of Solaria, the princess who blinded her best friend under unknown circumstances. Publicly it was declared that it was because the poor girl had dared to look at Sky too long. Privately however, nothing was known in Zeniths database.

“Well, I like you,” Stella said. “Not the things you said about Sky, but the frankness you said it with.,” Stella said as she extended her hand.

“I am Tecna. Exchange student from Zenith and I am guessing that you are crown princess Stella,” Tecna said as she took her hand and quite awkwardly shook it and by the whispers and the stares that surrounded them, it seemed that Stella quite rarely extended her hand towards anyone.

“Don’t mind them. They’re not staring at you. They believe that I don’t have it in me to be nice,” Stella said with a gorgeous smile to hide her disappointment.

“I suppose sharing a room with the first fairy, who transformed here in centuries does not help them see past the facade you put up, but instead makes them redirect their attention.”

“Especially not since she is now dating my ex. They are all waiting to see me react,” Stella said as she sighed and looked at the people surrounding them. “You should go and follow Andreas. Despite how much it displeases me, he was right about something. Rosalind’s orders are best not to be delayed.”

Tecna nodded in gratitude as she said her goodbyes and disappeared into the crowd to follow Andreas of Eraklyon and as she kept looking for him, she couldn’t help but think of her mother. She was right. All this was much worse than using a faulty computer chip. Her laptop could be fixed using some magic or with Digit’s help. These people, these fairies and specialists on the other hand seemed much harder to crack than any code she had ever deciphered. She could still hear the whispers about Stella, sky and the fairy who transformed. She heard them all talking and laughing and yet the people who had previously laughed and gossiped about Stella soon changed their tone once she joined their group and Tecna quickly made a mental note not to become friends with those fairies, it would only delay her mission and the quicker that was done, the quicker she could go home.

She had only just finished her train of thought when she finally found Andreas again as he was waiting for her at the entrance.

“Let’s go,” he said as he turned and opened the doors. She followed him all the way to Rosalind’s office where he instructed her to enter first, he followed her and closed the door behind them.

“You are Tecna, I suppose?” A clear voice called out to her from behind the desk. Tecna looked around her. There were books everywhere, spellbooks, most likely, but she couldn’t help but think of the archive system they used in Zenith and how it could benefit this big mess of books and scrolls as well and this wasn’t even the library, she thought to herself as she stepped forwards.

“Yes, that’s me,” she said as she looked Rosalind in the eyes.

“I trust that your travel here was quite comfortable?” she said and Tecna could feel an invisible force try to push against her mind.

She quickly shook it off and nodded as she answered. “Yes of course.”

Rosalind’s eye narrowed and a frown appeared on her forehead.

“I hope that you feel quite welcome here. You will be rooming with the most revered fairy that graces this school at the moment so that you might learn from each other,” Rosalind said as she gave her a key and some flyers concerning the school rules. “I have to say that this is the first time that Alfea has ever hosted a fairy and a specialist from Zenith, but where is the other specialist?”

“I don’t know. He was supposed to arrive half an hour ago, but he will most likely be here soon,” Tecna said as she shrugged. How could she know anything about the other students’ whereabouts, she wondered.

“You don’t know him?” Rosalind asked with a surprised look. “I would think that two students from such a small city-state would know each other.

She clenched her fists as she felt another invisible push against her mind. She smiled and shrugged her shoulders again. “There are several schools in Zenith. Besides I was mostly homeschooled.”

Rosalind sighed as she gave up her attempts of probing Tecna’s mind. “I suppose that is to be expected for the daughter of Zeniths chancellor.” She nodded towards Andreas to let her out as she continued on in her paperwork.

Andreas guided her towards her new room where her suitcases were waiting for her.

“This is the suite. Classes start tomorrow,” he said before leaving her to her own devices.

She opened the door and saw a common room with several sofas in the middle. She looked around and saw several doors with names on them. Bloom and Aisha were written on one door. Terra and Musa on the next. Stella had a room all to herself and on the last door, her name alongside Flora was written.

She walked towards the door and saw that one half of the room was completely empty whilst the other was filled to brim with flowers, plants and books that were once again filled with flowers and plants.

She walked towards the empty bed where a card with her name was put on top. She flicked her fingers, and her suitcases opened themselves and all of the stuff she had with her flew in the right spot she had in mind for them. She flicked with her other hand and the suitcases soon started shrinking until they had the side of a toy and put themselves away.

The suitcases had only just put themselves away when she heard stumbling and mumbling coming from the common room.

On the other side of the glass door, a girl with beautiful brown curls smiled at the joke of a shorter girl with an infectious laugh.

She put on her glasses and let her gadget give her the confirmation.

They were indeed earth fairy’s and had yet not unlocked the ability to tap into other elements. What were they teaching at this school that a second-year student was not even able to use at least one other element? If they were so eager to create a caste system concerning magic, then they should at least be able to master at least two before going to the second year. She sighed. There must be something else they were able to teach me, Tecna thought as she stared absentmindedly into her purple mini laptop’s screen to see If she had any messages from the other student that came from Zenith.

Nothing.

She sighed and closed the laptop. It was time to go and introduce herself to her suitemates. She dreaded it but alas. She needed allies if she wanted to find out more about Rosalind and the fairy that transformed.

She grinned to herself at the thought alone. The fairy that transformed. How could all the fairies in this school call themselves a fairy if they had never even transformed. But then again, the transformation had been lost to most of the realms of the Otherworld for over 150 years. Which meant that these fairies could never miss the wind in their wings, or the extra power that a transformation would give them. the freedom to fly anywhere and not get tired. The outfit that made Tecna truly feel herself. If you never had it, then you couldn’t miss it, Tecna thought to herself as she opened the door to the common room and introduced herself. But soon she would find a way to bring the transformation back to the rest of the Otherworld. She would surely make her parents proud.
